Chaga mushrooms grow in wild northern forests, often found in Siberia, Alaska and northern Canada. Being a parasitic mushroom, chaga finds its home and feeds from trees. Mostly chaga grows on birch, beech, alder and chestnut trees in very cold climates.

Black gold

The unique mushrooms cannot be confused with their brethren - they are lumpy, outwardly similar to burnt charcoal, but with a softer yellow-orange core.

The very name "chaga" comes from the Russian word for "mushroom", but despite the etiology, the word is used all over the world.

The chaga mushroom is one of the best sources of antioxidants. Its ability to absorb oxygen free radicals (ORAC) is higher than that of berries, green tea, and cocoa products. On the international scale of absorption activity, chaga has a score of 146,700. For example, green tea is rated only 1,500 points.

Chaga is traditionally used to treat diabetes and cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as heart disease. These mushrooms are not called "black gold" for nothing - both for its appearance, its beneficial properties, and its rarity.

  • We strictly observe all conditions of collection, storage and transportation of chaga in accordance with GOST standards.
  • We guarantee the availability of all documents.

Why choose lumpy chaga

Chopped chaga is a guarantee that you will not get a cat in a bag after purchase. Chopped chaga comes without impurities and it is impossible to confuse it with other similar mushrooms that may accidentally get in during collection, drying and grinding. The most frequent mushroom used by unscrupulous manufacturers to create volume is trutovik.  It is useful, not dangerous to health, but less valuable than chaga.

Chopped pieces of chaga are carefully packed in individual airtight boxes. Pre-cleaned before drying from bark, wood flecks and other forest debris.

The pieces are 5-8 cm. The shelf life of chunky chaga is much longer than that of crushed mushroom.

How to use chaga and its benefits

Like other medicinal mushrooms, chaga needs to be soaked in hot water or alcohol to break down the tough cell walls.

You can add this mushroom to tea or coffee. The mushroom drink was used as a coffee substitute during World War I and World War II.

What does chaga do for the body? Ironically, chaga is called "tree cancer" because this mushroom eventually sucks all the juices out of the plant it grows on, killing it. But for humans, this useful product works precisely to protect against cancer cells.

The nutritional value of Siberian chaga is surprising. It is low in calories, rich in fiber and contains no fat or sugar.

In addition to treating and preventing cancer, the mushroom drink stimulates the immune system, is a powerful antiviral agent, relieves inflammation and improves physical endurance.
